Leaholme Residential Home receives another 'Good' CQC rating!

The exceptional management team and staff from Leaholme Residential Home in Stoneygate, Leicester were thrilled to receive the results of their latest CQC report, which rated the service as being ‘Good’ across all areas.  Maintaining, and even improving upon standards since its last inspection Leaholme Residential Home’s clean, safe and supportive environment, commitment to residents’ needs, promotion of dignity and independence, and dedication to person-centred care were all highlighted as positives. The report also recognised the home’s motivated staff members and tasty, nutritious meals. The report was published on Wednesday 20 th March 2019, and identified areas where Leaholme Residential Home fulfilled expectations. Key areas highlighted included risk assessment and management, staffing and recruitment, safeguarding, and the ability to assess and fulfil people’s needs and choices. Kelly has been with the company just eighteen months, but has been able to make some amazing changes that benefit staff members and residents. Zoe is an Outstanding Manager!

We'd like to take a moment to celebrate Zoe Searston, the Registered Manager at Langwith Lodge Residential Home. Zoe was given an Outstanding Performance Award at a recent managers' meeting for all of our homes, and we couldn't be prouder of her passion, commitment and determination. Managing Director Vicki has said of Zoe: " We knew immediately upon meeting her that Zoe would be the right fit for manager! Few people knew that our gem of a home existed, and we  needed somebody like Zoe to get stuck in and change that. 'Six Steps' Recognition for Summer Fields Care Home

We are delighted to announce that Senior Care Assistant Tracy Wallace has successfully completed the ‘Six Steps to Success’ training programme with the Wirral NHS Foundation Trust, which has enhanced her own understanding and the quality of end of life care provided throughout Summer Fields Care Home. Tracy has worked tirelessly to become our home’s End of Life Champion, and we couldn’t be prouder of her determination and effort. End of life care is an essential part of what we do, and the programme embeds a philosophy of palliative care while supporting those working with residents from all walks of life. Tracy’s persistent efforts have helped to introduce appropriate end of life care documents to those that need them, while ensuring that many residents have Emergency Health Care Plans. Members of the management team were thrilled to discover that the home had won not one, but two awards at the regional event, which celebrated the very best talent in the care industry across the East Midlands.
